FAQs

1. How do I book?

Please book at the 'availability' tab, or alternatively contact us to book at portavogie.holiday.rental@hotmail.com once your selected dates are confirmed, we will send you a booking form for completion and return. A 25% deposit secures your dates, with the balance due four weeks before arrival. You can pay by Paypal or Bank Transfer.

3. Are towels and bed-linen provided?

Yes. All bed linen; bath and hand towels and tea towels are provided.

4. Are there laundry facilities? 

Yes. There is a washer/dryer; pegs and an outside folding washing line; and an iron and ironing board.

5. Is the property child friendly?

Yes. We provide a stair-gate; kids dishes and cutlery; high-chair; cot and cot bedding. For your own peace of mind we recommend you place decorative items out of children's reach. If using the elevated decking area please ensure children are supervised at all times.

6. Is the property dog-friendly?

Yes. There are bowls, towels, toys, poop bags, shampoo and leads provided for your use. Please keep your dog(s) on the ground floor using the pet gate provided. Please clean up after your dog, in the enclosed rear garden area or nearby green.

7. Is smoking permitted?

The property is strictly no-smoking either inside or in the rear garden area/decking. Please use the front of the house or the nearby green area.

8. Is there Wi-fi access?

The property has free wi-fi access. 

9. What are the kitchen facilities?

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a self-catering break. There is ample cookware and dinnerware.

10. Is the property suitable for parties for events?

Birthday parties and family gatherings are fine. However due to the residential nature of the neighbourhood parties with loud music and excessive noise are not permitted. Please treat the property as you would your own home.

11. Is there a BBQ/Garden Furniture?

Yes. A kettle style BBQ and garden furniture is provided between Easter and Hallowe'en. Bring your own charcoal.

12. How far is the property from restaurants, coffee shops and the beach?

Its a 3 minute walk to the nearest restaurant and coffee shop at the New Quays complex. The south beach is a 3 minute walk, the north beach a 6 minute walk.. 

13. Are there supermarkets nearby?

There is a Mace at the Portavogie petrol station within a few minutes walk.

14. Are there restaurants nearby?

The New Quays Restaurant is nearby.

15. Where can I park?

Please park one car in the driveway and additional cars to the rear of the property in the communal car park.

16. Is a damage deposit payable?

There is a £100 fully refundable damage deposit, upon final satisfactory inspection of the property.
